Yep! I am not kidding! She said she had to go; patted her bottom and said poopies; pointed to the potty. I wasn't sure if she was serious or not, but figured "why not" and put her on the potty. She sat there for a minute like she usually does when she wants to sit there...and then, her face changed to the "pooping" face and there it was, "ker-splash"! I couldn't believe it! I think I was more excited about it than anyone else INCLUDING Ellie! But, it gives me hope that she will be easier to potty-train than Jayden who is still not using the toilet either by choice or by bribe.

POOPIES IN THE POTTY!!
Ok...so most of you readers are mommies and you have little ones who are already potty trained. But, for those of us who have been struggling with our stubborn-gonna-do-it-their-own-way-in-their-own-time-tots... I got child-sized poopies in the potty tonight BY REQUEST!!! Nope...before you start saying "Yay, Jayden!" Let me stop you and correct it to "Yay, Ellie!"

But, it gives me hope that she will be easier to potty-train than Jayden who is still not using the toilet either by choice or by bribe. I hope that he chooses to get past this soon and start using the potty, but if not, we are going commando as soon as we get back into our house. No...that is not expected to be any time soon; but, it gives me something to look forward to. :)

Way to go Ellie!! Maybe she's just trying to show her brother up to see who's really the biggest! How funny.
I love it that your at least considering coming down for Relay. That would be so fun! I'm planning on driving up to get Roz to come down for it. Maybe we can do a old van pool and follow each other.
It's a thought!
Kiss the kiddo's!
Yay Ellie! Yeah.. if you can show Jayden that his little sister can do it, that should be good encouragement for him :-) Mika often tells me right before she needs to poop too so I feel I should get it together and actually plop her on the potty when she does it but then I usually have my hands full doing something else and am just too lazy to switch gears. Once the weather gets warmer though, I'm planning to go commando for Mika at home like I did with Faith late last February.
GREAT news Lynda! What a big girl she is! And Lori's right..maybe that'll encourage Jayden, too. I love that she let you know she was interested..why can't all things kidwise be like that??!! Continued good luck :-)
